I grew up in Jackson and graduated from Jackson High School a LONG time ago. (Ok, it was 1986. That should explain the hair.) I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University in 1991. Go Broncos! In the spring of 2009, I completed my Masters Degree from Central Michigan University. Go Chippewas! Teaching has been my career for over 25 years. My career began in Gladwin, Michigan. Then, I moved to Florida and taught there for 12 years. In the spring of 2006, I returned to Michigan and my hometown, where I was fortunate to find a place at MC. It has been a great decision. It's good to be home again.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors. Whether sledding, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing in the winter, or planting, 4-wheeling, horseback riding, hiking, and fishing in the summer, you will likely find me outside. if the weather fights me into the house, I'll probably be reading, writing, surfing the Internet, quilting, or doing cross-stitch. I'm also a big auto racing fan... nascar, NHRA Drag racing, local short tracks... i love them all!
On 11-11-11 @ 11 am, I was married! My husband's name is Michael. We live on a small farm near Marshall. Together, we enjoy autoracing, travel, and ice cream... lots and lots of ice cream! :-) Every day is an adventure together and because of that, life is beautiful! My husband is a heavy-duty deisel technician and currently works on a research team for a big company. They build and test transmissions and hybrid power systems. His work takes him all over the world. When I can, I like to travel along!
Of course, if you spend anytime within my voice range, you'll hear me talk about "Jack". He is my awesome dog. We used to go everywhere together but he is getting quite old now... 12 in 2017. So he spends most of his time napping or strolling around the backyard!
This is me! Fishing on Round Lake! I was 8 years old. But I still like to fish.
